Membership Requirements
The Fire Department needs your help. All members do not have to be ready to run into a burning building. We have jobs that can be fit to almost anyone’s ability.
Types of Membership:
- Administrative and Dispatch
- EMS only
- Support Firefighters who do not wear breathing apparatus/non fire attack
- Structural Firefighters
All members…
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must pass drug test and background screening
- Must possess a valid IL driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an IL class B driver’s license
- Must complete required candidate training (provided by the department)
